Jefferson Center for Mental Health is the not-for- profit community mental health center serving Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin counties since 1958. Our mission is to promote mental health and provide quality mental health services for persons with emotional problems and/or serious mental illness. We are partners with our community, working together to create a place that fosters mental health and supports those with mental health challenges.

Their services are provided through numerous clinical locations in our three county service area, in addition to schools, nursing homes, senior centers and other partner locations throughout our community. Jefferson Center for Mental Health has an ability to pay policy, which is based on income, number of dependents, and availability of other funding sources for this purpose. Our program supporters provide an invaluable contribution to what we do.

SAME DAY ACCESS … In May, JCMH initiated a new Same Day Access to care process at our larger offices, providing consumers the flexibility to meet with a clinical staff member on the same day when they call to request a same day appointment. – “We can see people immediately when they are asking for help,” says Dr. Elissa Stein, VP Clinical Services, “We are more responsive to the people who need us, and they are more likely to engage in treatment.”JCMH offers many services including the Wellness Now! program which has classes for everyone who might be interested and lives in the community.  These classes include Zumba; gentle yoga, walking for wellness, cancer support classes, nutrition and health eating and more.  Check the Wellness Now! link on the JCMH web site.

JCMH also provides services for ages 15-22 at The Road in Lakewood, and, a transitional employment program at Summit Center in Wheat Ridge.
